Emerald Coast Okinawa is a cultural group that showcases the traditional music and dance of Okinawa, including performances with taiko drums, which are an integral part of Okinawan festivals and ceremonies. At Tokyo X 2025, they will perform live taiko, along with other traditional Okinawan performances such as karate demonstrations and festival dances, with audience participation. In additional they will also perform Okinawa martial arts Kata, like seen in popular movies like 'Karate Kid and Cobra Kai".

The group’s mission is to educate and share Okinawan culture, blending powerful rhythms with rich cultural history to create an engaging experience for audiences. Their taiko performances highlight the strength and energy of Okinawan music, while also offering insight into the region’s unique cultural traditions.
