Join us at the car show to proudly display your love for Japanese culture! Whether you're showcasing JDM vehicles or vibrant itasha designs, this is your chance to shine and compete for a grand prize of $1,000! Don't miss out on this opportunity!

Car Show Rules

  • Exhibitor’s vehicle must be pre-registered before June 1, 2025 , no exceptions. Applications can be found on our website. 

    ​

    **NO SPACE GUARANTEED – to ensure a space at this event, you must complete the registration process.

    Admission fee is $45 for 2 days.  The roll-in schedule will be announced at a later date.

    ​

    Registered Vehicles that are approved will receive

    • (2) x 2-day pass

    • Chance to win $1000 for Best of Show

     

    VEHICLES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE UNTIL THE PUBLIC IS CLEARED OUT OF THE HALL, NO EXCEPTIONS

  • Contestants under the age of 18 need a parent or legal guardian present at the cosplay competition to sign a waiver in order for that contestant to compete in the cosplay contest.

    ​

    Only contestant over the age of 18 are allowed to enter for $1000 prize 

    • Absolutely no revving and/or burnouts are permitted on the property. If you do so, you will lose all access and be asked to leave the premises.

    • ​When driving to and from the event, make sure to follow all traffic laws and speed limits.

    • ​No street racing in and around the venue.

    • ​Be respectful of the venue.

    • ​NO FOOD/ALCOHOL MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE EVENT.

    • ​Do not touch other people's cars.

    • ​You will be able to get into the venue the next morning to finish prepping your vehicle. Check with our staff to see what time the doors will open.

    • ​If you lose or pretend as though you lost your ticket, payment confirmation, or wristband or claim that you never got a ticket to enter, you will have to pay the standard general admission fee **No Exceptions**

    • ​IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF THE PARKING AND ADMISSION PASSES IN HAND BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE VENUE.

    • ​NO VEHICLES SHOULD BE MOVED, STARTED, OR LEAVE THE PREMISES FOR ANY REASON UNTIL THE CONCLUSION OF THE EVENT

    • Your bags and other belongings will be searched by security.

    • ​Venue hall will be locked when event is not in operation and over night security will be provided.

    • ​Tokyo X, its officers, organizers, managers, agents, employees, volunteers, staff, event sponsors, vendors, and contractors will not be responsible for any and all property damage, personal injuries, or even death sustained by car show participants and/or event attendees or car show participants' property while participating in TOKYO X.

    ​​

    • Judges must have access to all areas of the show vehicle including trunk, interior and engine compartment. Judges WILL NOT open these areas for evaluation.

    • It is recommended you are available at judging to address any questions presented to you by the judges.

    • The Car Show Judges decisions are final.

    • All vehicles must remain in the show area for the duration of the show.

    • Judging of cars are done on a point system

    • WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT FOR AWARDS. Awards ceremony time will be on Sunday June 15th, 2025 time will TBA.

    JDM is an acronym for "Japanese domestic market" and refers to vehicles and parts made for Japan. It can also refer to cars made in Japan but sold in other countries. JDM is a term used by car enthusiasts to describe Japanese cars and products. It has become a worldwide label for Japanese car fandom.

    ​

    Example, a Mercedes sold in Japan is considered JDM, the steering wheel must be on the right side of the vehicle.

  • Award : Trophy

    Itasha  is a car decorated with images of characters from anime, manga, or video games. The decorations usually involve paint schemes and stickers.

  • Award : $1000 + Name on Cosplay Cup

    Judges will determine the best of show based on interior, exterior and overall execution of the vehicle put together. Vehicles that standout and make the crowd go wow have higher chance to wining the cash prize.​
