Hiroshi Kanatani

Hiroshi Kanatani is a distinguished Japanese comic artist recognized for his contributions to Tokusatsu and monster-themed illustrations. He has provided artwork for the Godzilla franchise in collaboration with Toho Studios and has worked with notable publications, including Famous Monsters of Filmland, Monster Attack Team, and G-FAN magazine. Moreover, Kanatani is an esteemed member of the Japan Manga Association. Among his significant collaborations is the comic "Dinosaur War Izenborg," created in partnership with American artist Matt Frank and released in Japan in 2021. Additionally, he has contributed to series such as "Electroid Zaborger," "Beast Warrior Lionmaru," and "HYOMAN the Leopardman," published by Antarctic Press in 2022.

Kanatani's artistic career was influenced by his interest in Tokusatsu, science fiction, and traditional Japanese period dramas. He developed his skills through drawing popular characters such as Doraemon and various kaiju monsters, which ultimately shaped his path into the realm of manga. His recent projects include "Coaraptor" and "Spectreman Heroes," and he is currently engaged in the development of a new comic series titled "Godshard Chronicles," which is scheduled for release in both Japan and North America.
